DOLL & Co. as lead architects for new-build mansion in NW6

Front view of the striking family home with six bedrooms, pool, spa, multimedia room and three receptions.

It’s been a busy year for us already, with multiple projects underway. But our most recent to achieve planning permission is a grand reimagination of a traditional London villa. We have been appointed to detail, design and deliver this exemplary 10,000 sq ft home in NW6. And demolition has already begun! Traditional architectural detailing meets stunning interiors, executed by the finest project team. Not only that, but we’re working with a highly creative and open-minded client who is constantly willing to push boundaries and explore innovative new ideas. Planning was initially achieved by 93 and Savills.

Planning secured for Kensington heritage restoration

Obtaining planning permission in conservation areas and for listed buildings in London is a delicate process. So we’re delighted to have received permission for a substantial new extension and full interior reconfiguration on Avonmore Road, Kensington. As outside space remains as precious as ever, we’ve included some grand garden plans. These include a large lower-ground extension at the back of the property with a series of landscaped terraces. All built in 2024 to make the most of the summer ahead.

Election time and new interest in London property

The US and UK elections may already be garnering media coverage, but they’re not the only ones. Around 70 countries are electing new governments this year. And while this brings instability to many property markets, the UK stands alone in its appeal.

According to Dennis Ko Partner at BDB Pitmans, Chinese and Middle Eastern investors are showing a renewed interest in the UK, attracted by higher education, a stable economy and a more favourable tax on property. While the Labour Party’s plans are still unknown, it appears they are pro-development and want to ease restrictions like planning regulations. Whatever the outcome of the elections, London’s prime residential market looks set to stay strong.
